Zach Burke grabbed the title in the javelin at the Carroll Pioneer Invitational and posted the best throw in the Midwest Conference this season. The junior from Patterson, La., won the event with a personal-best throw of 152 feet, 5 inches, which was three feet better than second place. Burke also earned Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week honors.
