Clara Hills got her Lawrence singles career off to a perfect start and was named Midwest Conference Player of the Week. The first-year from Brenham, Texas, went 4-0 at No. 2 singles as she picked up wins against UW-Oshkosh, Lakeland, Illinois Wesleyan and Concordia Chicago. She also posted a 2-2 record with two matches at No. 1 doubles and two at No. 2 doubles.
