Zach Burke dominated to win the javelin at the Midwest Conference North Championships. The junior from Patterson, La., won the event by nearly nine feet with a personal-best throw of 170 feet, 9 inches. He also earned all-conference honors in the hammer throw by placing second at 134-6, and Burke grabbed fifth in the discus at 118-4.
