Alexander Gymnasium
Alexander Gymnasium has been a centerpiece of Lawrence University athletics since opening in 1929 and serves as the home of the Vikings men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball programs. Named in honor of Lewis M. Alexander, former president of the Lawrence University Board of Trustees, the historic facility blends nearly a century of tradition with modern amenities for today's student-athletes and fans.
The gymnasium features seating for approximately 1,100 spectators, two full-size basketball courts, and houses the offices of the Lawrence University Department of Athletics and the Lawrence University Intercollegiate Athletic Hall of Fame. Throughout its history, Alexander Gymnasium has hosted numerous Midwest Conference championship events and continues to provide an exciting home-court advantage for the Vikings.
