Lawrence falls to fifth-ranked Adrian

    ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team dropped a 9-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision to No. 5 Adrian College on Saturday at Arrington Ice Arena.
    The Bulldogs led 2-0 after the opening period and stretched the advantage to 5-0 heading to the third. Adrian finished with four goals in the final period for the final margin.
    Adrian (14-1-0, 6-0-0 NCHA) went 3-for-7 on the power play, and Jessica VonRuden had a hat trick for the Bulldogs. Lawrence (1-14-0, 0-6-0) went 0-for-2 on the power play.
    Sydney Seeley and Chasity Anderson split time in net for the Vikings. Seeley made 30 saves over 27:36, and Anderson stopped 30 shots in 32:24. Annie Gilbert made 10 saves to get the shutout for Adrian.
