Lawrence shut out by fourth-ranked Adrian

    ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team was shut out 5-0 by No. 4 Adrian College on Friday in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Arrington Ice Arena.
    The Bulldogs scored midway through the opening period and then tacked on another goal in the final minute of the period to take a 2-0 lead into the second. Adrian went 2-3 on the power play in the second to grab a 4-0 advantage. 
    Adrian (13-2-0, 7-0-0 NCHA) added another goal 6:25 into the third for the final margin.
    Lawrence goaltender Sydney Seeley stopped 56 shots for the Vikings (1-13-1, 0-7-1). Michaela O'Brien recorded nine saves to pick up the shutout.
    The teams finish the series on Saturday afternoon.
