Lawrence grabs shootout win at Marian

    FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team grabbed a shootout win at Marian University on Saturday after the teams posted a 0--0 tie in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Blue Line Ice Center.
    After going scoreless through regulation, neither team was able to score in the five-minute overtime. 
    Lawrence goaltender Sarah Dobrzynski turned in a superlative performance as she stopped 34 shots, including 16 in the third period and three in overtime. Sydney Magnuson made 25 saves for Marian (5-11-3, 3-6-3 NCHA).
    The game went to a three-round shootout and both teams were unable to score in the first round.
    Reese Deibert then gave the Vikings (6-10-3, 3-6-3) a 1-0 lead as she beat Magnuson to start the second round. Dobrzynski then stopped Marian's Dayna Jones to keep Lawrence ahead. 
    Beth McArthur then won it for Lawrence when she scored to give the Vikings an insurmountable 2-0 lead.
