Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Vikings season ends on the road versus Green Knights

DE PERE, Wis. — Lawrence University fell to St. Norbert College, 5–0, in a conference matchup. The Green Knights capitalized on two power-play opportunities and outshot the Vikings 46-6 in the game.

Lawrence opened the first period with Ella Sciborski in goal, quickly facing pressure as St. Norbert controlled the early faceoffs. Sciborski was active, making several key saves to deny the Green Knights' initial offensive efforts. Despite the Vikings' defensive efforts, St. Norbert managed to break through at 14:30 with a goal by Emma Stebbeds, assisted by Briar Charchenko.

The Vikings' attempts to counter included blocked shots by Kate Boberg and Emma Perry, while Sullivan Gillis and Evelyn Pryadkin's offensive efforts were halted. The period closed with Lawrence trailing 1–0, as St. Norbert maintained their slim lead going into the second period.

St. Norbert took advantage of a power-play opportunity midway through the second period, with Emily Bill scoring at 13:46. Lawrence's defense, led by Sciborski's saves, held strong for the majority of the period, but the team could not convert its own power play into a goal. The period concluded with the Vikings trailing 2–0, as they continued to seek opportunities to close the gap.

Lawrence began the third period with a power-play opportunity following a slashing penalty on the Green Knights' Annalee Holzer. Despite efforts from Pryadkin, Lawrence was unable to capitalize, as St. Norbert's defense held firm, and the power play ended without a goal.

The Green Knights extended their lead with a power-play goal by Anika Fortin at 6:14, assisted by Ava Anick. The pressure continued, and St. Norbert scored again at 3:22, as Grace Wittkopf added an even-strength goal. The Vikings faced a tough defensive challenge as St. Norbert added a final unassisted goal by Hannah Grabianowski with just under two minutes remaining.

The game concluded with Lawrence unable to break through the Green Knights' defense, resulting in a 5–0 final score and the conclusion of the 2025-26 season for the Vikings.Ā
