Lawrence Breaks Through with Statement Win Over Beloit

Appleton, Wisconsin — The Lawrence University women's lacrosse team delivered its most complete performance of the season on Monday evening, powering past Beloit College 9-3 at the Banta Bowl to earn its first conference victory.

The Vikings wasted no time setting the tone, jumping out to a 4-1 lead in the opening quarter behind a fast, aggressive offensive push. Evelyn Pryadkin sparked the early surge with two goals, while Savannah Larsen added a pair of her own as Lawrence controlled possession and tempo from the start.

That momentum only built in the second quarter, where the Vikings strung together three more goals to take a commanding 7-1 lead into halftime. Bella Krull-Collins orchestrated the offense throughout, dishing out three assists and playing a key role in Lawrence's ball movement and scoring efficiency.

Lawrence's balanced attack proved too much for Beloit to handle, as six different players found the back of the net. Pryadkin, Larsen, and Sarah Dobrzynski each finished with two goals, while Reese Deibert, Annika Solberg, and Krull-Collins also added scores.

Defensively, the Vikings were just as impressive. Lawrence controlled the ground game with 31 ground balls and held Beloit to just 22 shots. Goalkeepers Neva Mertsching and Emma Berg combined for 10 saves, with Berg securing the win after a strong second-half showing.

The Vikings continued to press in the second half, extending the lead to 9-1 before Beloit added two late goals. By then, the outcome was well in hand as Lawrence closed out a confident, wire-to-wire victory.

The win marks a major step forward for the Vikings, showcasing a balanced offense, disciplined defense, and the kind of full-team performance that can build momentum moving deeper into conference play.
