What being a Viking means to me:
Nothing contributed more to my personal growth and success in life than my time as an LU volleyball player. As an athlete, you experience multitudinous emotions over the course of a career – competitiveness, frustration and disappointment, as well as elation, appreciation, satisfaction and pure joy. Through sport, you learn how to balance those varied emotions, manage your time and succeed both on the court and in life in general. You develop lasting bonds of friendship with your teammates and create indelible memories that persist for a lifetime. Lawrence University Athletics provided me with the foundation for my life after college, both in terms of physical health and mental toughness. I am forever grateful for my time as a Viking.
