College: 2021 All-Midwest Conference honoree in cross country. 2021 All-Midwest Conference in 10,000 meters. Academic All-Midwest Conference. Runs both cross country and track at Lawrence. High School: Ran cross country for Darrell Gramdorf and track for Ken Sumbry. First-team all-conference in cross country and track and field. Cross country team MVP in 2017. Won cross country's Most Improved Runner award in 2016 and also won Most Improved Runner for track in 2017. Earned Scholar-Athlete Award. Personal: Parents are Renee and Matt Messerschmidt. Psychology major.
