Maggie Marcotte joins the Lawrence University women’s hockey coaching staff as an Assistant Coach. A native of Bemidji, Minnesota, Maggie brings experience as both a collegiate player and coach to the Vikings.
Maggie played collegiate hockey at Midland University, where she played both forward and defense. She was named to the All-Tournament Team two years in a row and served as team captain her senior year. Her experience as a player and captain helped shape her passion for coaching and developing players both on and off the ice.
Maggie earned her Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Midland University after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Before joining Lawrence, she coached high school hockey and worked as a graduate assistant coach, gaining experience in player development, team operations, and the day-to-day responsibilities of a hockey program.
Outside of hockey, Maggie enjoys being outdoors, spending time on the water, and traveling. She especially enjoys hunting with her American Lab, Ultra. She grew up in a hockey-loving family in Bemidji and is the daughter of Jim and Cathy Marcotte. She has an older sister, Katrina, and a younger brother, Hunter.
Maggie is excited to continue her coaching career at Lawrence University and looks forward to getting to know her players, helping them grow, and being part of the Lawrence women’s hockey program.
