Matty joined the Lawrence University Athletic Training staff in September 2025. A Green Bay, WI native, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from UW–Green Bay and her Master’s in Athletic Training from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN.
Before coming to Lawrence, Matty served as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Dubuque in Iowa, where she primarily worked with volleyball, women’s hockey, and track and field. She has also gained experience at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Matty’s professional interests include developing individualized rehabilitation programs, soft tissue therapy, and promoting brain health awareness.
Outside of work, Matty enjoys spending time with her husband, Kasey, and daughter, River. She also loves hiking, working out, and quilting
