Scott Reppert ’83 serves on the Lawrence University football staff as a recruiting specialist and alumni liaison, bringing a unique perspective as one of the most accomplished players in program history.
A member of several successful Viking teams during his playing career, Reppert helped Lawrence establish itself as one of the premier small-college football programs in the Midwest. He was part of the 1981 team that capped an 18-2 run over two seasons and became the first NCAA Division III program in Wisconsin to qualify for the NCAA Playoffs.
Reppert's impact on the field earned him national recognition and culminated with his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003. He remains the only Division III player to be selected in a Hall of Fame class alongside NFL legends such as Dan Marino, Reggie White, Ronnie Lott, Kellen Winslow, and Napoleon McCallum.
Following his collegiate career, Reppert pursued professional football opportunities with the Chicago Bears and later played for the London Ravens of the British American Football League.
Although his coaching experience dates back to the early 1980s, Reppert's passion for Lawrence University, Viking Football, and the Appleton community continues to make a lasting impact on the program. In his role, he works closely with prospective student-athletes, families, and high school coaches, helping showcase the unique combination of academic excellence, athletic opportunity, and campus experience that Lawrence offers.
Reppert also serves as a key connection between the current program and its alumni network, helping strengthen relationships with former players while preserving the rich tradition and history of Lawrence Football.
