Tessa joined Advanced in October 2024. Born and raised in Cody, Wyoming, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance and an master’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Montana. Graduating during the height of COVID, Tessa returned to Cody and became a nationally registered Advanced EMT, she also later worked at a small NAIA college in Montana before moving into the NCAA setting here at Lawrence.
Tessa's professional interests include preventative care, holistic approaches, emergency medicine, and mental health.
Outside of work, she enjoy's hiking, exploring nature, traveling, spending time at both the beach and in the mountains, binge-watching Netflix, karaoke, baking and cooking, practicing yoga, and learning new things.
