Janessa Gonzalez led Lawrence to a split of four games and was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week. The sophomore infielder from Elk Grove Village, Ill., hit .429 with a homer, two doubles and five runs batted in. Gonzalez finished the week 6-for-14 in games against Greenville and Eureka. Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double and four runs batted in as Lawrence picked up its first win of the season, a 14-11 victory over Eureka.
