Avery Chilson fired a three-hit shutout as Lawrence claimed its first berth in the Midwest Conference Tournament since 2015. The sophomore pitcher from Lake Mills, Wis., beat Beloit 4-0, striking out 10 without walking a batter. Chilson, who also defeated Mount Mary earlier in the week, struck out 14 without a walk in 11 innings during the week.
