Greyson Schneider broke a 50-year-old Lawrence record on his way to placing third in the pole vault at the Midwest Conference Championships in Galesburg, Ill. The sophomore from Winnetka, Ill., cleared 14 feet, 2 inches, to edge the mark of 14-1 set by Lawrence Hall of Famer Doug Gilbert way back in 1972. Schneider also grabbed fifth place in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.43 seconds.
