Gierymski gets first goal but Vikings fall to Ripon

RIPON, Wis. -- The Ripon College women's soccer team scored two goals in just over three minutes in the first half Wednesday to take the lead and went on to a 4-1 Midwest Conference win over Lawrence University at Prairie Field.

Lawrence (2-15-0, 0-8-0 MWC) jumped on top at the 10:38 mark when Chloe Gierymski got her first career goal when she headed in Ryan Berkley's corner kick for a 1-0 edge. 

Ripon(10-6-0, 4-4-0) then got goals at the 13:12 and 16:40 mark to take a 2-1 edge. The Red Hawks pushed the lead to 3-1 and tacked on a goal in the second half for the final margin.

Katlyn Seiffert made 17 saves for Lawrence, and a pair of Ripon goalies combined to stop three shots.
