JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The Illinois College women's soccer team scored the game's first three goals Sunday and went on to a 3-1 Midwest Conference victory over Lawrence University.

The Lady Blues (2-8-0, 1-1-0 MWC) led 1-0 at the half, but Illinois College scored two times in the first 10 minutes of the second half to pull away. Ashley Sholmire scored twice for Illinois College.

Ryan Berkley got the Vikings (1-6-0, 0-2-0) on the board with a goal in the 58th minute.

Charlotte Crofton made two saves to get the win, and Katlyn Seiffert stopped six shots for the Vikings.
