Box Score ASHWAUBENON, Wis. -- Lawrence University dropped an 8-1 decision to No. 3 St. Norbert College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game on Friday night at the Cornerstone Community Center.
Lawrence's lone goal came in the second period as Daniel Gysi recorded a short-handed tally.
Kurt Black recorded a hat trick for the Green Knights (7-2-1, 3-2-0 NCHA) as he scored the game's first two goals and then added a goal late in the third.
St. Norbert led 3-0 after one period, and Lawrence's Zach Briscoe was sent off for boarding just 1:32 into the second. That's when Gysi struck for a short-handed goal at the 2:13 mark to trim the margin to 3-1.
St. Norbert bounced back quickly and scored at the 3:44 mark to push the lead to 4-1. The Green Knights added four more goals in the second to pull away.
Greg Procopio stopped 32 shots through the first two periods for Lawrence (1-8-0, 0-5-0). Evan Cline came on in relief and made 11 saves in the third period. T.J. Black stopped 14 shots to pick up the win for St. Norbert.
