Big second half allows Cardinals to pull away from Lawrence

WINONA, Minn. -- The Saint Mary's (Minn.) University women's soccer team scored six times in the second half Sunday en route to a 7-0 nonconference win over Lawrence University.

The Cardinals led just 1-0 at the half before stretching the advantage with three goals in the first 20 minutes of the second half. Saint Mary's then poured in three goals in the final two minutes for the final margin.

Mary Loy and Megan Kowalis both scored two goals for Saint Mary's.

Claire Vinopal allowed four goals and made 15 saves for the Vikings. Gabriella Pederson posted the shutout for the Cardinals.
