Box Score APPLETON, Wis. -- Jackie Blake recorded a her first hat trick and Ellie Younger scored twice Wednesday to lead the Lawrence University women's soccer team to a 6-1 nonconference victory over Mount Mary University on a soggy Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
In a game played during constant rain, Lawrence pounded out a 41-2 edge in shots as Blake took over late in the first half.
The game was tied 1-1 after Mount Mary scored at the 40:35 mark. Blake gave the Vikings the lead back 51 seconds later when she scored on a free kick from 22 yards out.
Blake struck again just 21 seconds later when took a cross from Younger in the center of the box and beat Mount Mary goalkeeper Hannah Rose at the 41:47 mark. Lawrence took that 3-1 lead into halftime.
Blake made it a natural hat trick when she scored off a pass from Quinn Bingham at the 56:48 mark for a 4-1 lead.
That's when Younger went to work as she scored the game's final two goals. The Vikings put together a pair of passes from Natalya Harp and Hallie Sogin to find Younger, who scored at the 74:40 mark from just outside the penalty box.
Younger scored again less than four minutes later off passes from Samantha Tolu and Barbara Espinosa at the 78:33 mark for the final margin.
Lawrence goalkeepers Sydney Dumke and Katlyn Seiffert each played a half and combined for one save. Rose made 22 saves for the Blue Angels.
