ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team lost a 3-0 nonconference decision on Friday to Maranatha Baptist University at the Rockford Invitational.

Maranatha won the match 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

Lawrence's Caitlin Chambers had a team-high eight kills, and Elizabeth Liebau added seven. Averie Miller handed out 21 assists, picked up an ace and had six digs for the Vikings.

Sophia Galassini and Liebau as Galassini posted four blocks and Liebau added three. Alyssa Sorensen paced the Vikings with 15 digs, and Laurice Lavajo added 12.

Lawrence faces North Central (Minn.) and Rockford on Saturday.
