Box Score MEQUON, Wis. -- Lawrence University gave up a power-play goal in the final three minutes Saturday and lost 3-2 to Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Ozaukee Ice Center.
The game was tied at 2-2 when Lawrence's Curtis Weyerhaeuser was whistled for holding at the 16:30 mark. The Falcons converted on the power play when Josh Adkins scored at 17:11 to break the tie.
Concordia went 2-for-8 on the power play, and the Vikings were 0-for-2.
Lawrence (5-11-1, 4-7-1 NCHA) pulled goaltender Evan Cline for the final 1:32 but couldn't get the equalizer. Cline finished with 25 saves, and Concordia's Bob Didur recorded 30 saves.
Lawrence grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first when Danny Toycen scored his first goal of the season off assists by Charles Stewart and James Scott at the 16:40 mark.
The Vikings held that edge until the 6:21 mark of the second when Jake Drinkard scored his ninth goal of the season with an assist by Weyerhaeuser to make it 2-0.
The Falcons (10-5-2, 6-4-2) cut the lead in half on Brandon Picard's power-play goal at the 13:20 mark of the second and tied it on Cole Pickup's goal at the 8:48 mark of the third.
Lawrence posted a 32-28 edge in shots.
