APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University football team fell behind early Saturday on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl, and Monmouth College went on to a 42-0 Midwest Conference victory over the Vikings.
  Lawrence trailed 21-0 after the opening quarter as Monmouth quarterback Riley Fetterer was difficult to contain. The Scots tacked on two more touchdowns in the second quarter to lead 35-0 at the half.

D'Andre Weaver was harassed all day but completed 18-of-34 passes for 169 yards and a pair of interceptions.
Logan Olson caught five passes for 49 yards for the Vikings (1-3, 0-3 MWC), and
Tanner Morris had four catches for 29 yards.
Nick Pastrone and
Malachi Gatison hauled in three passes apiece.

Prince Mukuna gained a tough 54 yards on 12 carries to lead the ground game.

Eder Bellegarde turned in another fine performance with 13 tackles, including 1.0 tackles for loss, to lead the defense.

Terrell Myers also had an interception with a spectacular one-handed catch in the first quarter. Myers, who had three picks on the season, finished with a pair of tackles.
  Fetterer went 16-of-26 for 246 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. He also ran seven times for 83 yards. The Lawrence defense did a fabulous job containing the conference's leading rusher, Henderson Francois, who was held to 29 yards on nine carries.
  Monmouth's first drive ended with Myers' interception, but the Scots (3-1, 3-0) scored the next three times they had the ball. Fetterer tossed a pair of touchdown passes in teh first quarter, and Devin Lawrence had a 34-yard scoring run.
  Fetterer threw two more touchdown passes in the second quarter, including one with just 25 second left before halftime, to stake Monmouth to a big lead at the break. Â
  Lawrence limited Monmouth to seven points and 128 yards of offense in the second half.
