RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team downed Ripon College 7-2 in a Midwest Conference match Saturday at the Ripon High School courts.
  Lawrence's third consecutive conference victory assured the Vikings of a spot on the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament later this month. Lawrence improved to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Lawrence also continued its mastery of rival Ripon with the Vikings' 16th victory in the last 17 meetings with the Red Hawks.
  Lawrence got the day started by winning two of the three doubles matches.
Lauren Aturaliya and
Chloe Lamb teamed for an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles, and
Morgan Fisher and
Lizzy Angemi were 8-4 winners at No. 3.
  The Vikings then swept the Nos. 2 through 6 singles matches. Aturaliya downed Brianna Bembenek 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2, and
Emma Koppa rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Tia Endrizzi at No. 3. Lamb posted a 6-3, 6-1 win for the Vikings over Sarah Weber at No. 4, and Fisher was a 6-2, 6-4 winner over Tamera Holland at No. 5. Angemi earned a 6-4, 6-0 win over Halle Hadel at No. 6 to finish off the scoring for the Vikings.
  Ripon fell to 5-6 overall, 2-4 in the league.
