APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Knox College on Saturday at Alexander Gymnasium.
  Knox defeated the Vikings 26-24, 25-20, 25-18 in the Midwest Conference opener for Lawrence (5-10, 0-1 MWC).

Jordan Adamson led Lawrence with seven kills and she added a pair of blocks.
Sophia Galassini added four kills for the Vikings, and
Liza Stalcup and
Elizabeth Liebau added three kills apiece. Stalcup paced the Vikings with four blocks, and Liebau had a pair of blocks.

Dana Mestey led Lawrence with 14 assists, and
Kali Pfannerstill had 16 digs and a pair of aces.
  The Vikings trailed 24-17 before putting on a furious rally in the opening set. Adamson had two kills, Pfannerstill picked up an ace and Stalcup had a kill to tie the set at 24-24. Knox finally recovered and won the next two points to close out the set.
  The second set was tied 20-20 before Knox scored the final five points to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Knox jumped out to a 9-1 lead in the third set before the Vikings trimmed the margin to 13-11. Knox then won the next six points to grab a 19-11 lead, and Lawrence never got closer than five points after that.
