APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University is extending its guidelines for fan attendance at all winter sporting events.
    Restrictions that were imposed for fall sports will carry over into the winter season. For events inside Alexander Gymnasium, Boldt Natatorium or the Appleton Family Ice Center, mandatory masking is required except those actively competing in the event. Social distancing in the bleachers also is encouraged.
    Attendance for indoor events will be limited to a two-person pass list for Lawrence student-athletes, and all Lawrence students, faculty and staff will be admitted with a Lawrence ID. No visiting fans will be allowed.
    Lawrence administrators have imposed the fan restrictions due to the increased risk of infection from the COVID-19 Delta variant and the impending flu season.
