Vikings edged by St. Catherine's

    ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team dropped a 3-0 nonconference decision Saturday to St. Catherine's University at Drake Arena.
    St. Catherine's scored twice in the opening period and added a third goal in the second.
    Sophia Gorski scored at the 8:37 mark of the first to open the scoring for the undefeated Wildcats, who improved to 4-0-0. Joslin Mumm picked up a power-play goal with 2:39 left in the opening period to stake St. Catherine's a 2-0 lead after the first.
    The Wildcats got another power play to complete the scoring in the second when Laura Denchfield scored at the 11:33 mark.
    Sydney Seeley made 33 saves for the Vikings, and Abby Severson made 17 saves for St. Catherine's.
