Box Score   FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team dropped a tight 3-1 decision to Marian University on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs at the Blue Line Ice Center.
  The game was tight throughout and Marian didn't get any real breathing room until the final minutes, but the Vikings pressured the Sabres until the final horn sounded.
  Junior
Alex Mosquera made 35 saves for Lawrence (4-5-0), and Colby Muise made 24 saves for Marian (8-7-0).
  Marian jumped on the Vikings early and scored just two minutes into the game on Tyler Mosimann's goal for a 1-0 advantage. That lead didn't last long as Lawrence tied the score at 1-1 at the 8:16 mark of the first. Lawrence's
Charles Stewart flipped the puck past Muise for his fourth goal of the season off assists from
Tyler Jensen and
Will Robertson.
  The game was tied after one period, but Marian struck early in the second on Tanner Versluis' goal for a 2-1 edge. The score stayed that way as the teams traded scoring chances until late in the third.
  Parker Colley gave the Sabres a 3-1 lead with his goal with 3:34 left in the third. Lawrence took a timeout eight seconds later and pulled Mosquera for an extra attacker for the final 3:26 but could not pull any closer.
  The game featured just six penalties and both teams went 0-for-2 on the power play.
