APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team hung tough for more than 47 minutes Sunday, but Concordia University Wisconsin broke the game open late for an 8-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory at the Appleton Family Ice Center.
  Concordia was hanging on to a 2-0 lead when the Falcons scored three times in less than four minutes midway through the third period to pull away. The Falcons then added three more goals, including two in a 16-second span, for the final margin.
  Megan McPike and Ally Hull scored two goals apiece for Concordia (9-7-0, 6-2-0 NCHA), and Annalina Van Hercke made 16 saves to record the shutout.

Katie Jablynski kept the game scoreless in the opening period as she stopped all 19 shots she faced.
Sydney Seeley was between the pipes for the Vikings (0-8-0, 0-8-0) in the second period and made 20 saves as Concordia edged out to a 2-0 lead on goals by McPike and Sarah Tretina.
  Jablynski came back on for the third period, but a short-handed goal by Hull at the 7:35 mark pushed the lead to 3-0. The Falcons then added two goals in less than a minute at 10:13 and 11:09 to seal the win.
  Lawrence will be the fourth seed from the North Division when the NCHA playoffs begin Wednesday. The Vikings travel to the College of St. Scholastica for a quarterfinal game to begin the playoffs.
