LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Lawrence University softball team dropped a pair of games Sunday at Lake Forest College in a nonconference doubleheader at Mohr Field.
Lake Forest tossed a 7-0 shutout in the opener, and the Foresters rallied for a 10-4 victory in the second game.
  In game two, Lawrence catcher
Ceara Larson went 4-for-4 with a homer, a double and three runs batted in.Â
The Vikings (0-6) built a 4-3 lead through five innings with Larson providing much of the offense. She smacked a run-scoring double in the third to tie the game at 1-1 and belted a two-run homer in the fifth that tied the game.
Shelby Johnson added a single in the fifth to score
Mikayla Jeneske, who had doubled, and the Vikings led 4-3.Â
Lake Forest then roared back in the top of the sixth with six runs on four hits, and the Foresters took advantage of a pair of Lawrence errors to grab a 9-4 edge. Lake Forest added a run in the seventh for the final margin.
Callie Mertz pitched 1.1 innings of relief to get the win, and Johnson tossed the final three innings for the Vikings to take the loss.
It was all Maddie Webb in the opener as the Lake Forest pitcher allowed only three hits over seven innings to post the shutout. She struck out four and walked two.
Emilia Jackson allowed five hits and just one earned run over four innings and took the loss. Jackson struck out three and walked two.
