MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team edged Marantha Baptist University 3-2 in a nonconference match at the Blue Angel Bash.
  The Vikings topped Maranatha 25-15, 25-21, 20-25, 26-28, 16-14 in the match at Mount Mary University.

Sophia Galassini paced the Vikings with 22 kills, and
Jordan Adamson added 19 and hit at a .304 clip.
Elizabeth Liebau picked up 15 kills for the Vikings.Â
  Setter
Averie Miller piled up 58 assists, and three Vikings hit double figures in digs.
Marife Entenza had 19 digs,
Kali Pfannerstill added 12 and
Daphne Piotrowski picked up 11.Â
  Lawrence rolled out to a two-set lead as the Vikings hit .303 in the opening set and .325 in the second set. Maranatha came back to win the next two sets to set up a fifth set.Â
  Lawrence led throughout the fifth set, and the Vikings were up 13-10 before a Maranatha kill and ace trimmed the lead to one. A Liebau kill pushed Lawrence's lead to 14-12, but the Sabercats scored the next two points to tie it at 14-14.
  A kill by Liebau and a Maranatha attack error gave the Vikings the set and the match.
  Lawrence returns to action at the Blue Angel Bash on Saturday with matches against North Central (Minn.) and Mount Mary.
