ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a tough 3-2 nonconference decision to Eureka College on Friday night at the Rockford Triangular.
  Eureka edged the Vikings 14-25, 25-18, 25-18, 20-25, 15-9. Lawrence grabbed an early 5-2 edge in the final set, but Eureka then scored six consecutive points to grab an 8-5 edge. Lawrence scored the next point, but Eureka then pulled away for the victory.
  Three Vikings had double figures in kills, led by
Jordan Adamson with 15. Lawrence's
Sophia Galassini added 14 kills and 12 digs, and
Elizabeth Liebau picked up 10 kills and five digs.
Averie Miller led Lawrence with 24 assists and she had 13 digs, and
Dana Mestey collected 22 assists and 12 digs.
  Rookie
Daphne Piotrowski led the Vikings with 22 digs.
  Lawrence returns to action on Saturday at Illinois Tech.
