FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team lost a tight 1-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision on Saturday at Marian University.
  The Sabres scored late in the opening period at the Blue Line Ice Center for the only goal of the game.
  Brooke Anderson scored with 2:59 left in the first period and that was it for the scoring.

Maeve Tallman was outstanding in net as she topped 37 shots. Kayla Kolpitcke made 21 saves to get the shutout for Marian (6-9-2, 3-3-0 NCHA).
  The Vikings (0-14-0, 0-7-0) had some chances on the power play but couldn't score as Lawrence went 0-for-8 on the power play. Marian was 0-for-5 on the power play.
