HANCOCK, Mich. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team lost a tough 2-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association decision to Finlandia University on Saturday night at Houghton County Arena.
The Vikings led after the first period, but Finlandia picked up a goal in the second period and another in the third to pull out the win.

The score stayed that way until the 2:42 mark of the second period when Aleah Giddings scored for Finlandia to tie the game at 1-1. The teams remained deadlocked until Finlandia went on the power play early in the third period. Michaela Powers scored on the power play at the 4:17 mark to put the Lions up 2-1.
