APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team fell 3-0 to Mount Mary University on Wednesday in a nonconference match at Alexander Gymnasium.
  Mount Mary topped the Vikings 25-23, 25-26, 25-16.
  The Vikings got all their kills from five players, and
Charlotte Lehmann led the way with six kills.

Aliana Butler-Gray had five kills apiece, and
Hilirie McLaughlin had four.Â

Marife Entenza picked up 21 assists, and
Daphne Piotrowski had a team-best 14 digs.Â
  In a back-and-forth opening set, the Vikings put together a 21-19 lead before the Blue Angels pulled even at 21. A pair of Mount Mary attack errors gave Lawrence a 23-21 edge, but the Blue Angels scored the next four points to pull out the opening set.
  Lawrence fell behind early in the second set but kept battling back. The Vikings trimmed the lead to 13-10 on a Naylor kill, but Mount Mary scored the next six points to push the advantage to 19-10. Lawrence didn't get closer than six points the rest of the way.
  In the third set, Lawrence fell behind 4-0 but again the Vikings fought back. A pair of kills from Butler-Gray and kills from McLaughlin and Lehmann trimmed the lead to 12-10. The teams traded points, and Seymour's kill kept the Vikings within striking distance at 18-16. Mount Mary then scored the final seven points to close out the match.
  Lawrence returns to Midwest Conference play this weekend with matches at Grinnell College and Beloit College.
