Lawrence shut out by Pointers

    STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team dropped a 5-0 nonconference decision to UW-Stevens Point on Wednesday at Willett Arena.
    The game was tight until late when the Pointers scored three times in the final nine minutes to pull away.
    Stevens Point scored 2:49 into the first period and led 1-0 after one period. The Pointers then got a goal at the 2:59 mark of the second period and led 2-0 after two.
    The score stayed that way until the 11:03 mark of the third when Katie Stanius scored for a 3-0 advantage. The Pointers then added two goals in the final 2:23 to complete the scoring.
    Charlie Prior made 39 saves for the Vikings, and Olivia Schultz stopped 23 shots for Stevens Point.
