Vikings fall to Saint Mary's

    APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team fell 8-0 Saturday to Saint Mary's University in a nonconference game at the Appleton Ice Center.
    The Cardinals pulled away late in the second period with a pair of goals in a span of less than give minutes to stretch their lead to 4-0 heading to the third.
    Saint Mary's (3-9-0) then scored four times in the third to pull away.
    The Cardinals scored a pair of power-play goals and went 2-for-5 on the afternoon. Lawrence was 0-for-2 on the power play.
    Charlie Prior made 54 saves in goal for the Vikings (1-12-0). Celeste Rimstad made 13 saves to pick up the shutout for the Cardinals.
