ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey suffered a 14-0 setback to No. 5 Adrian College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game on Friday at Arrington Ice Arena.
    Adrian (13-1-0, 5-0-0 NCHA) scored four times in the opening period to take control and led 8-0 after two periods. The Bulldogs tacked on six more goals, including two in the final three minutes, in the third period.
    Newcomer Chasity Anderson started in goal for the Vikings (1-13-0, 0-5-0) and made 67 saves. Vanessa Ruban made seven saves to pick up the shutout for Adrian.
    The teams wrap up the series on Saturday.
