MARQUETTE, Mich. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team dropped an 89-62 decision to Northern Michigan University on Wednesday in an exhibition game at the Berry Events Center.
    After a tight first half, the NCAA Division II Wildcats outscored Lawrence 41-20 in the second half to pull away.
    Junior forward 
Matthew Kaznikov led the Vikings with 20 points, and 
Nick Hesch added 10 points and a pair of rebounds. Rookies 
Parker Prahl and 
Nicolas Manzanera added nine points apiece, and Prahl grabbed a game-high nine rebounds and three assists. 
    Lawrence hung with the Wildcats after shooting 55.2 percent (16-for-29) in the opening 20 minutes. 
    The Vikings trailed 48-42 at the half, and Northern Michigan shot 60.7 percent (17-for-28) in the second half to pull away.
    Dylan Kuehl led Northern Michigan with 18 points.Â
