APPLETON, Wis. -- It was a tale of two halves Saturday for the Lawrence University men's basketball team.
  The Vikings dominated the game early against Ripon College and led at the break, but the Red Hawks rallied for a 74-59 Midwest Conference victory in the second half at Alexander Gymnasium.

Brad Sendell led Lawrence (9-11, 6-5 MWC) with 17 points, and he dished out a game-high eight assists to go with seven rebounds and a pair of steals.

Brandon Danowski added 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists for the Vikings.
Elliot Jung and
Julian DeGuzman had nine points apiece for Lawrence, and DeGuzman was 4-for-4 from the floor.
Adnan Sarancic added eight points and five rebounds for Lawrence.
  David DeValk led Ripon (12-7, 8-3) with a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds.
  Lawrence jumped on the Red Hawks from the opening minute as the Vikings hit their first three shots from the floor, including a pair of 3-pointers from
Matthew Kaznikov, to grab an 8-0 lead. Lawrence quickly added a layups from Jung and Sendell and led by double digits at 13-2 with 16:16 remaining in the first half.Â
  The Vikings then put together a 15-4 run with DeGuzman scoring seven points in that stretch, to grab a 28-11 lead with 9:05 remaining in the opening half.Â
  Ripon chipped away at the lead and closed to 35-33 at the half with the help of a 14-6 run before the break.
  Dominic Galati hit a 3-pointer to open the second half and gave Ripon its first lead of the game at 36-35. The Red Hawks built their lead to as many nine points, and the advantage hovered between nine and five points until the five-minute mark.
  Ripon pushed its lead to 12 at 67-55, and Lawrence got no closer than nine points the rest of the way.
  Lawrence returns to action on Wednesday when the Vikings travel to Lake Forest College.
