MEQUON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team scored twice to open the third period Saturday, and that proved decisive in a 4-3 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory over Concordia University Wisconsin at the Ozaukee Ice Center.
  Four different players scored for the Vikings, who enjoyed a 50-38 edge in shots over Concordia. Lawrence also defeated the Falcons 4-3 on Friday night.
  Lawrence (10-9-3, 8-6-2 NCHA) scored a pair of power-play goals to seize control of the contest in the first period.
  After Andrew Malek was whistled for unsportsmanlike conduct,
Cory Checco converted on the ensuing power play with a goal off assists from
Zach Lodes and
Will Crull at the 8:41 mark of the first.
  Concordia's Nick Wieben was called for hooking at 11:00, and Lawrence picked up another goal on the man-advantage.
Davis Kirkendall scored off assists from
Will Robertson and
Ivan Galaguzov to put the Vikings up 2-0 at the 12:44 mark.
  Lawrence finished 2-for-3 on the power play, and Concordia 0-for-4.
  Concordia (2-18-2, 1-13-1) scored just over a minute later to cut the lead in half, but Lawrence led 2-1 after the first. The Falcons then scored midway through the second period to tie the game at 2-2.
  Lodes gave the Vikings back the lead for good early in the third period. He scored off assists from
Vincent Dekumbis and
Tyler Jensen at the 2:08 mark for a 3-2 edge.
  Rookie forward
Akhmed Malsagov then gave the Vikings an insurance goal when he scored with 2:37 remaining for a 4-2 advantage.
  Concordia pulled goaltender Liam McGarva for an extra attacker, and Alex Way scored for the Falcons with 1:18 remaining to trim the lead to 4-3. Lawrence then narrowly missed the open net on one shot and hit the pipe on another, but the Vikings controlled the puck in the final minute to seal the victory.

Brian Tallieu 35 saves to pick up the win for the Vikings. McGarva stopped 46 shots for Concordia.
  Lawrence returns to action on Tuesday when the Vikings host UW-Eau Claire in a nonconference game.
