WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- The Lawrence University baseball team dropped a nonconference doubleheader to Union (N.Y.) College on Wednesday.
  Union won the opener 10-2 and rallied for a 13-7 victory in the nightcap, and those were the final games of Lawrence's spring break trip.
  In the opener, Lawrence (5-5) was limited to just four hits by Union starter Deven Smith. He went the distance, struck out seven and walked three.
  Lawrence trailed 2-0 but cut the lead in half in the top of the third inning.
Alex Tanaka helped the Vikings manufacture a run in the third when he started the inning with a walk. Tanaka stole second, went to third on a groundout and scored on
Taylor Freeman's groundout to trim the lead to 2-1.

Zach Leslie started the fourth inning with a single for the Vikings. Leslie moved to second on a groundout and went to third when
Preston Anderson singled.
Colin Wieska bounced into a fielder's choice, and Leslie scored to tie the game at 2-2.
  Union (5-5) broke the game open with five runs in the bottom of the fourth on three hits and two Lawrence errors to take a 7-2 lead. The Dutchmen added three runs in the sixth to seal the victory.

Jonah Palmer made the start for the Vikings, allowed seven hits, struck out three and walked three.
  In the second game, Lawrence built a 5-2 lead before Union scored seven times in the sixth to take control.

Parker Knoll went 3-for-4, scored a run and drove in a run for the Vikings, and
Jeffery Cambra was 3-for-4 and scored a run.
Jacob Charon went 2-for-3, homered, scored three runs and drove in a pair of runs for Lawrence.
  Lawrence grabbed a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second. Leslie singled to score Charon and
Ethan Plantz reached on an error to score Leslie and give the Vikings a 2-1 advantage. Knoll later delivered a run-scoring single to bring
Nick Heerde, who had singled, home for a 3-1 lead.
  After Union scored in the top of the third, Charon singled to get things going in the bottom half of the inning.
Edan Perez delivered a triple to score Charon for a 4-2 lead. Lawrence made it 5-2 in the fourth when Knoll singled, stole second and third and scored on
Spenser Ross' groundout.
  Union charged ahead in the sixth when the Vikings made three consecutive errors to start the inning. The Dutchmen had five hits and Lawrence made four errors in the frame as Union took a 9-5 lead. Union tacked on four more runs in the seventh for a 13-5 edge.
  Charon blasted a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh for the final margin.
  Lawrence returns to action on Saturday and Sunday when the Vikings face Elmhurst College and Rockford College in Rockford, Ill.Â
