MOUNT VERNON, Iowa -- The Lawrence University baseball team saw its six-game win streak snapped Friday in a 10-9 Midwest Conference loss to Cornell College at Ash Park Field.
  Lawrence rallied from a four-run deficit and took the lead in the top of the eighth before the Rams scored two in the bottom half of the inning.Â

Parker Knoll and
Jeffery Cambra both went 3-for-6 and both scored two runs and drove in a pair of runs for the Vikings.
Jacob Charon went 2-for-5 and hit his 15th home run of the season for Lawrence.

Zach Leslie went 2-for-3 with a double and drove in a run, and
Mitchell Sandleback was 2-for-3 and scored a run for the Vikings.
  Lawrence (13-7, 8-2 MWC) trailed 8-4 heading to the top of the eighth when
Spenser Ross and
Luke Miles both walked and Sandleback was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Knoll followed with a single to score Ross and Miles and trim the lead to 8-6.Â
  Cambra followed with a single to right field, and Sandleback scored to cut the lead to 8-7. After Leslie walked and Charon struck out,
Edan Perez singled to score Knoll and the game was tied 8-8.
Taylor Freeman then drew a bases-loaded walk to bring Cambra home, and the Vikings led 9-8.
  The Rams then rallied for two runs off
Shane Foley in the bottom half of the inning to grab the 10-9 lead. The Vikings rallied in the top of the ninth when Cambra singled and Leslie and Charon both walked to load the bases with two outs. Cornell pitcher Preston Wright got Perez to bounce into a fielder's choice to end the game.
  Lawrence grabbed the lead in the first when Knoll doubled to start the game and scored on Cambra's single. Leslie followed with a double to score Cambra, and the Vikings led 2-0.
  Cornell (10-15, 5-5) grabbed the lead with six runs in the bottom of the fourth, but the Vikings cut into that advantage.Â
  Lawrence trimmed the margin to 6-3 in the sixth when Freeman doubled and later scored on a double play. The Vikings got another run in the seventh when Charon homered to center field to cut the lead to 6-4.Â
  Cornell picked up two runs in the bottom of the seventh before Lawrence rallied to take the lead in the eighth.

Michael Duttlinger made the start for the Vikings and allowed six runs, but only one earned run, on nine hits over six innings. He struck out two and walked two. Carter Kriegel allowed three runs and three hits in one inning of relief to get the win.
  The teams finish the series with a doubleheader on Saturday.
