MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Lawrence University baseball team got another great outing from
Quinn Berglin and topped Monmouth College 4-3 Sunday in the Midwest Conference series finale.
  Berglin extended his scoreless inning streak to 30 before the Scots broke through against him in the seventh inning. Berglin allowed three runs on seven hits over eight innings, struck out five and walked four to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Richie LaCien worked the ninth to pick up his fourth save and tied the Lawrence season record.

Parker Knoll went 2-for-4 with a triple, scored two runs and drove in a run for the Vikings.
Zach Leslie went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a run, and
Jacob Charon also went 2-for-4 for Lawrence (18-9, 13-4 MWC).
  Lawrence broke a scoreless tie with a run in the fourth. Leslie led off the inning with a double, moved to third on a groundout and scored on
Edan Perez's groundout for a 1-0 edge.
  The Vikings doubled the lead in the sixth with Knoll sparking the rally. He singled to start the frame, moved to second on an error by pitcher Jeff Garrett and then stole third. Leslie followed with a single to score Knoll for a 2-0 lead.
  Lawrence stretched the lead with two more runs in the seventh on just one hit.
Spenser Ross drew a one-out walk, and Knoll belted a two-out triple to score Ross. Knoll then came home on a wild pitch, and the Vikings led 4-0.
    Monmouth (12-18, 6-11) then scored three times on two hits in the bottom half of the inning to reel the Vikings back in at 4-3.Â
  Berglin worked out of a jam in the eighth and turned it over to LaCien in the ninth. LaCien gave up a lead-off single before getting a strikeout, a flyout and foulout to end the game.
  Lawrence returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Beloit College for one conference game.
