MEQUON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team opened its season Thursday with a 3-0 nonconference setback to Concordia University Wisconsin at Fitting Field.
  The Falcons held a 1-0 lead midway through the second half before breaking the game open with two goals in less than 10 minutes. Selena Esten scored in the 30th minute, and Concordia held that lead at the break.
  The Falcons then got goals from Sabrina Moore at 63:23 and 72:50 to seal the victory.

Sarah Yochem made five saves for the Vikings, and Brooke Braga stopped three shots to record the shutout.
