APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 nonconference decision to Carroll University on Tuesday night at Alexander Gymnasium.
    Playing in front of a raucous crowd of more than 500, Carroll posted a 25-11, 25-18, 25-10 victory over the Vikings.
    Aliana Butler-Gray, playing in her first match since returning from injury, led the Vikings with six kills and picked up a block. Mikala Seymour added four kills and a block for the Vikings.
    Setter Dana Mestey collected 11 assists and had a team-best nine digs. Libero Taylor Hughes chipped in with seven digs.
    The Vikings return to Midwest Conference play on Saturday when they host Monmouth College.
