Rally comes up short at Superior

    SUPERIOR, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's hockey team rallied late Saturday but dropped a 3-1 nonconference decision to UW-Superior at Wessman Arena.
    Lawrence trailed 3-0 entering the third period before Laney Martens put a dent in the deficit for the Vikings. Martens took a pass from Beth McArthur and scored at the 8:29 mark of the third to trim the margin to 3-1.
    The Vikings pulled goaltender Sara Dobrzynski for the final 2:45 but couldn't get any closer. Dobrzynski finished with 34 saves for Lawrence.
    Rose Beeman made 16 saves to pick up the win for Superior.
